COMET OBALY/VÁZACÍ A OBALOVÉ MATERIÁLY
The COMET – Bronislav Kubíček company was founded in 1996 with the participation of a partner Pavel Janošík. The company was based for the next nine years in the Přerov Czech Railway premises, where the company overcame the extensive floods in 1997. Since the founding of the company it has undergone considerable development. From the original three employees, by 2005 it was extended up to ten employees. At the start, the main selling commodity was a steel tape and binding wires. In 2005, the company COMET-Bronislav Kubíček and COMET OBALY, s.r.o.
was transformed. In the same year the company moved to the area of The University Hospital in Olomouc, where the facilities and spaces met the requirements of the growing company including the office and warehouse areas. Due to an increasing demand the existing range of packaging and other binding materials was gradually expanded. In the same year the company sold 5,000 tons of steel and binding wires and reached the highest sales in the company’s history. Within the next expansion, to meet the needs of Czech and Slovak customers,
the company opened branches in Brandýs nad Labem and in Ružomberok in Slovakia. An important milestone for the company COMET OBALY, s.r.o. was the year of 2009 when, despite the global economic crisis, it was able to build modern facilities satisfying the most demanding requirements for production and logistics. Among other things, the company also bought out the partner, which contributed to further development of the company’s production and sales.
Thanks to the production of wires to presses (Bremen rings) and paper edge protectors it continues to expand not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also Western markets. With today’s 24 employees and 10 trucks, the company COMET OBALY, s.r.o. is one of the leading manufacturers and marketers of binding and packaging materials in the Czech Republic.
